Mr. Matt Trusch, Chairman
Longevity's Chairman Mattityahu R. Trusch founded the company in 1991, and has lived and worked in Asia for over 10 years. Longevity has provided the platform for Mr. Trusch to demonstrate his acumen at facilitating cross-border partnerships with the Chinese, and successfully launching multinationals in China.
Other relevant industry experience includes:
- CEO of the Asian operations of a New York real estate developer investing in China, launching a $200 million Chinese Real Estate fund listed on the London AIM;
- Merrill Lynch Asia corporate finance, transactions include: $1.8 billion high yield debt advisory to PT Chandra Asri, an Indonesian petrochemical complex, $400 million Yankee Bonds for China Ministry of Finance, $125 million GDR privatization for the Steel Authority of India, ratings advisory to The Bank of East Asia for review by Moody's and S&P;
- Strategy consultant to Infinity Venture Capital, to introduce Israel’s largest insurance company to China;
- Intern at Haiwen (Beijing Investment Consultants, Inc.), one of China’s first investment consultancies.
Mr. Trusch holds an M.A. in Regional Studies East Asia (China) from Harvard University, and B.A. from Dartmouth College. He has also attended programs at the London School of Economics, Harbin Institute of Technology and Duke University’s TIP program at Beijing Normal. His research work has been acknowledged in a number of scholarly books and articles.
